The PSP or the PlayStation Portable was released to the United States in March of 2005. These portable gaming devices did not have as much fanfare as the PS3 when it came out but it has since become a very popular handheld game. Then came the PSP Slim and Lite, which is thinner than the original PSP. In 2007, the Slim and Lite came out and thousands were sold.
You would think that the PSP would be strictly for gaming but if it has the name PlayStation then you know it has extras such as movie and music playback. Now, if you are traveling or going on vacation you can not only play your favorite games but also play your favorite music and see your favorite movies. These devices are a gamers dream.
The only default that it has is the battery life. It can really depend on what you are doing with the handheld, but you can also connect to a wireless network on these games so it would take up more battery to try to access a network than it would be to play a game. Even the brightness of the screen could lessen your battery time.
Since PSP has been released all over the world. Each country has their own model number of the game. In the United States we have the PSP1001 and in the United Kingdom the model is a PSP1003. No matter what the model is these handheld games are only going to improve with technology, we only have to wait for the next best thing.
